I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

After breakfast it started snowing!!!  WOO HOO!!! A White Christmas!!

Look!  It's snow!  I couldn't believe it was sticking.

Max all ready to go out in the snow for the first time. (We don't own snowpants or snowboots - we live in Texas after all!)

The kids checking out the snow.

Max wasn't sure what to think.

Catching snowflakes on their tongues - Landen, Hayden, and Kaitlyn

The snow kept coming!!!  Look - the grass is covered!

Sisters!

The snow is piling up.  I can't believe it keeps coming.

Max in his Christmas sweater.

...and it kept coming!  Now the sidewalks and street are covered!

Man, Christmas is messy!

We got to the point where everyone started checking out each other's presents.
Tyler played with Kaity's robot.

Kaity riding on Landen's zebra.

We had our traditional Christmas dinner with potato soup, rolls, and HoneyBaked Turkey and Ham.

Love my sweet son!

I think these two have missed Uncle Joe.  :)

Family pic!

So grateful for my family and our home.

Video - Max checking out REAL snow

Brave enough to touch it!  (He didn't touch it after this.)

Love this girl.  She's getting so old!

Don't Christmas lights look good when they are next to snow?

The snow was deep enough to cover Hayden's foot.

Hayden, Kaitlyn, and Kimberly

Brrr!  It's windy!

Landen, Brittany, Hayden, and Joe

The snow was definitely not good Utah snow - Joe's snow angel just moved the snow around.

Hayden got into the snow angel action too.

I laugh at how excited we were earlier in the day when it was barely covering the ground.  At that point, we thought that was all we were going to get!  This type of snow happens maybe once a year or every two years in Dallas.  And the fact that it happened on Christmas day, when all my family was staying in my house, just made it so special!

This is how Christmas night should be - quiet, calm, and hanging out with your family.

We Skyped with family today.  We got Max to blow a kiss to Alex - he's never done that before!  What a fantastic Christmas it's been!

The Magic of Christmas Morning

I was really excited for Christmas morning.  I wondered if Max was going to be interested in all the fun.  Max woke up early as usual and we hung out and waited for others to wake up.
Ready to go!

The tree had lots of presents underneath ready to be unwrapped.

Max immediately went to his stuff.  He knew exactly what was for him! (Which means we did a good job of picking stuff that interests him.)

All the kids checking out what Santa left for them.

Peter emptying his stocking.

I sorta surprised Peter with a new wedding ring.  His original wedding ring can't be re-sized and it was literally falling off his finger since he's lost so much weight.  So I wanted to get him a new ring.  I hid it in the console in the car and the stinker happened to open the console just 2 days ago and noticed the box and figured what it was for.  I kicked myself for leaving it in the console and not hiding it in the house. Oh well, he didn't know what it looked like until Christmas morning.

Max eagerly waiting help with his presents.

Ty is old enough for deodorant?!  No!!!

Max really loved what Santa brought him and had fun playing with his toys.

Proud of my sister - wielding that screwdriver!

Maxwell and Landen enjoying the tunnel.

Looking oh so cute in his Christmas pajamas.

Max was so excited about his present from Brittany that he wanted to start playing with it before he unwrapped it the whole way.  That Aunt Brittany is awesome at picking out exactly what Max will love!

Look how happy he is about his Little People zoo train from Britt. :)

Another favorite present - this snowman cup with straw from Aunt Tawny and Uncle Alex.

Max wanted to ride Landen's toy with him.  Landen wasn't so happy about it.  (Notice Max is holding his cup.  We put a little orange juice and water in it and he rarely set it down the rest of the morning.)

Video -Max was far more into opening presents than he was on his birthday.  It was really fun.

Lovin' that cup!

Dare Devil Max

Landen brought the chair over so he could sit by Max.  Cousin love!

Max checking out his new chair.

Cousin love!

We surprised Kaitlyn with a Fijit - she thought she wasn't getting one and was OVER THE MOON when she got it.  It's a sort of robot toy for girls.  I loved watching her reaction, it made it so much fun!

2 bags of trash later...

Skinny husband playing in Max's toy.

Christmas breakfast - yummmmmmm

We let Max have bacon for the first time.  He was a fan.

Video - Max had fun playing with his new remote control car from Aunt Aja.  Although I think he would have enjoyed just having the remote without the car as well.  :)
