2 kids in baskets

My two kids, in baskets...

I LOVE Maxwell's face in this one

I think, hey...I can be a photographer...I can capture those cute pictures.  I am sure it's easy.  Ha!  Not so easy. But hey, I had fun trying and while they didn't turn out like the vision I had in my mind, they are okay.

Easter 2014

Happy Easter 2014!
Luckily, the Easter Bunny prepared early for Max's basket this year.  He didn't plan on Emmalyn being born yet and we figured that was okay since she was so little.

Early morning post-nursing snuggles

Max's Easter Basket

Look!  The Easter Bunny hid eggs all around for Maxwell to find.

The Easter Bunny also brought a pool for us to use this summer.

Max and his basket

Hurrying to find the next egg

This football egg was the trickiest egg to find!  Can you find it?

He's doing something here on purpose with his one eye.  Unfortunately, a month later, I can't remember what he was doing for the life of me.  :(

Message from the Easter Bunny:  HAPPY EASTER MAX!

Daddy helping him open his BIG egg

The weather was great so we played outside a little.  Max is just barely getting tall enough to sort of ride his balance bike.  He didn't ride it long because he kept falling over.

The scooter was a better bet

Video - Max loves to play "what do you want" as if we are in a restaurant and he is taking our order.  Here's a little sample.  At the end he goes to ask the "little guy" if they have pickles - Guy, do you have any pickles?  Do you? ...Uh...Nope.  Okay!

She's in the car seat which means that we went somewhere but I have no idea where.  It must have been to pick up some food because I don't think I was walking around public anywhere at this point.

Sound asleep...

...then mad...

... and back to being happy again

Her cord is looking really good.  It freaks me out less this time around but I'm still nervous being it seems to be starting to come off and I feel like it's too soon.

At one point in the afternoon, Daddy was napping...

...Emmalyn was napping

...AND Max was napping.  And could I, the one person who really NEEDED the nap, take the time to relax and nap?  Heck no!  Everyone else napping meant that I had a few moments to myself to get some things done!  (I really should choose the nap option, I just can't pass the moment up though.)

Thanks for the cute bunny hat, Aunt Brittany!

Max understands that the car seat used to be his and is now Emmalyn's (he's been really okay with it whenever we tell him things used to be his but not anymore), however he still wants to play in it.

Despite stating that we DIDN'T want to be "egged" this year, one of our sweet neighbors still did it the day we got home, 3 days before Easter.  I just figured they were being nice and that no one expected us to pass it on like you typically do.

Looking outside for the eggs that were hidden by our neighbor.  Yup, I let my son go outside in his underwear with no shorts on.  My standards are pretty low right now.

Silly Uncle Joe, playing basketball with the boys

Nice jump shot, Max!  Nice basket on your head, Joe!  :)

Milestone moment - Max actually held his 1 week old sister for the FIRST TIME for about 2 seconds tonight before bedtime.  It was awesome but quickly over because after that 2 seconds he goes "she's pooping!" (she wasn't) and we took her back.
