October Visitors - Lots of fun with Grandpa and Nana continued!

It was really nice that Dad and Marriann were here for a whole week and we were able to do a variety of things with them.

We had a great time with everyone at a Pumpkin Patch.  The place wasn't very busy so we were able to easily do everything they had to offer (compared to the pumpkin patch we went to last year that was a mad house!)

A little hay maze for the kids

Emmalyn hanging with her favorite uncle - Joe Joe

Maxwell climbing up this big hay slide

Made it!

You land in a pit of corn

Emmalyn went down the slide with Joe

Marriann had brought these yellow bandannas for everyone in the family.  It was a fun way to easily spot our group.  Emmalyn rocked it with her cute outfit and sun glasses.

Trying to toss the bean bags into the holes

Emmalyn had a LOT of fun playing in a corn pit.

Ready for the tractor "train" ride

Maxwell actually wanted to go (which shocked me)...they went around the farm and far away from us so that made me a little nervous but of course everything was okay.  He loved it and wanted to go again. (who is that kid?!  he must be growing up!)

Group picture of all of us

We had some fun with the "photo booth"

That night, we celebrated dad's 60th birthday with his favorite pies - Banana cream and apple instead of cake.

Mid-stream celebration we got derailed by a discussion about what you can and can't put into a garbage disposal.  It was quite involved (we even dragged Grandma Nelson into it).

Max is loving his time with grandma and didn't want to leave his side even though it was taking a LONG TIME to get to singing happy birthday

... and yet even a little longer...  :)

Finally!  We get to sing!

Opening his presents

Max still as close as he could get to Grandpa

The rest of the crew

Enjoying her cereal in the morning

We went on a walk with nana to the park.  Max had to bring his binoculars.

Driving to pick up some pizza - - Emmalyn loved sitting next to Nana

Pizza picnic outside

Reading before bed

Our house was home base for most of the visit (at least outside of working hours) for dad/marriann/Britt's family.  The kids had a great time playing together, as always.

We all went to play tennis for our last night together

Emmalyn and Maxwell have grown so attached to Grandpa and Nana this week.
