Julianne came to town in June and was performing at the Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. It was part of a family fun day. I was so excited because it's rare that she comes to where we live.
Peter and I got there when she was doing her sound check so we got to watch that and then went and hung out on her bus with her and the band. Thank goodness for an air conditioned bus because it was 100 degrees outside and the concert was in the middle of the day
- yikes! Because the concert was intimate we were able to have great seats and I could cheer loudly! It was great to hear her new music. She has grown as an artist since the last time we saw her with Brad Paisley. Her voice was really strong and she was so entertaining. The show even included 3 costume changes.

After the show we hung out on the bus some more, then had dinner with everyone, and then I went along while she had a meet and greet. (Peter stayed on the bus with the band.) I'm so proud of what she's accomplished! I loved being able to spend so much quality time with her especially since we didn't have to share our time with our loved, but plentiful family.
