Sweet, sweet, sweet (and he needs a haircut)
So precious, innocent, and perfect.
Max (and his parents) got to go to his very first friend's birthday party. Our friends Jessica and John's daughter C. turned 1 year old! Jessica did an awesome job with the party. There were lots of little kids there and Max interacted with them a little bit.
Getting to try a birthday cupcake
He loved it and ate it all.
Finger-lickin' good.
(His hair is too long for a mohawk but it's also too long to look good without being styled...)
Playing with the toys (and showing someone who wasn't his parents!) and the birthday girl.
While we were at the party, Joe and Dad were working on the next project. The night before, the men all went to my dad's favorite place to shop - Home Depot.
Dad, Joe and Peter did a great job building the frame for the media room screen. It was awesome to have their help with it. I think it looks good and we saved a bunch of money doing it ourselves. We had some fun with the frame first.
A partial family portrait.
You need a BIG frame to capture all this craziness!
Crazy train? :)
HA!
Peter and I recreating the Sistine Chapel Ceiling by Michelangelo
We balanced healthy meals with fun snacks like homemade pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (so yummy!)
Landen, Britt, and Marriann
The girls had a project too - Marriann is an awesome seamstress so I took advantage of those talents. First she figured out how to work my sewing machine, then she sewed a duvet for my bed out of two king-sized sheets that I bought for this purpose years ago (literally). Clearly I'm not good at doing projects timely on my own.
Enjoying the fruits of her labor.
Ta-da!
Hey look - I fit in here!
Marriann, Peter, Max and I went over to look at the decorating in the model homes here in the neighborhood..
Stylin'
My boys. I still can't get over how skinny Peter is.
Love, love, love, love, love this picture
Maxwell really loves his Aunt
We set up croquet but the boys were the only ones that played.
Nana broke through Landen's nearly impenetrable defences by going on a walk.
Dad and his baby girl.
Nana, Grandpa, and Hayden
The magic of the walk only lasts as long as the walk. Landen is back to his normal self. :)
