We finally let the cat out of the bag...

We waited until I was out of the first trimester to tell our close friends and family about the pregnancy.  I wanted to come up with a clever/cute way to announce it and Peter just wanted to tell people.  We ended up getting in an argument about it because I wanted him to care about doing it my way and he just got frustrated and irritated with me.

Anyway, we got over it.

So, I came up with this idea, made the sign, then set about getting the "perfect shot".

So we sent this picture out to our close friends and family.  At first we just sent it out without an explanation.  We quickly realized, based on the responses we got back, that not everyone understood what the real announcement was.  So we followed the picture up with "We aren't sure whether the new tenant will be a boy or a girl, but we are excited to meet them."
