First week of November

I was hungry for good Mexican food so I drove around the neighborhood until I found a food truck.  :)  The food is good and cheap!  One of the few perks of dealing with all the construction is this.  It makes me laugh how the ladies in the neighborhood and shocked and almost appalled when they hear that I have actually gotten food from the trucks.  Boy, are they missing out!

What I came home with today...

Uh oh...Mr Max is playing on Daddy's computer

Video - Max got caught!  Not only playing on Daddy's computer but getting into Daddy's candy stash.

We took Max in for his second hair cut to get those bangs trimmed and out of his eyes (it's pretty bad at swimming lessons when his hair gets wet).  He did much better even though he was nervous.  Notice the sucker in his hand - that really helped.  We didn't waste our money on a special kid's cut place this time.  We went to good ole Super Cuts.

"painting"

Silly boy still loves wearing my headbands and hair elastics.  He puts these all on by himself.

Weekends - Sleeping in with Daddy.

Another great thing about weekends - often Daddy makes breakfast.  Today he made homemade cinnamon rolls.

Mary Ann, my neighbor, invited me over to craft.  We made these Countdown to Christmas plates.  They turned out pretty good.  She is a great crafter and a good balance to my total crafting insecurities.

Video - For a long time I've wanted to capture how Max sweetly wipes his chin when we remind him to swallow (because usually it means he has drooled).  I finally got it on video!

  • Eating is such a hit and miss thing lately with Max.  Just because he likes it one day doesn't mean he will like it the next plus he has odd requests.  One night this week he asked for chips and broccoli for dinner.  !!

Halloween 2013

Pizza before we go trick or treating

Family pic

Ready to go!

Crazy hair

Britt and her boys

Landen and Hayden

Cousins - Max thinks Hayden is pretty cool

Smiles (and Max is blowing his whistle)

Silly boys

We started out going with Britt but after like 2 houses they just took off because we were much slower with Max.

He did a great job going from house to house and holding his pumpkin

We made it up one side of a street and down the other side before it was dark and Max was tired.

His bucket was close to dragging on the ground by the end of the night.

Video - Max trick or treating.  I wanted to capture how cute he was going up to people's doors but forgot until the last house, where no one was at home and there was a bucket on the porch.  Oh well, you can still hear how cute he says it.  We had to frequently prompt him to "say it louder" because he was so quiet.  He did a great job saying "thank you", too.

Tired Max

He was most excited about the suckers - we had to stop him from opening them up until we got home.
