We had one of the best Memorial Day weekend's ever! Kimberly was in San Antonio for job training and was able to come up and visit us over the weekend plus we had Michelle and her family come up from Austin. It was awesome! Plus my birthday actually fell on Memorial Day weekend (which rarely happens).
Britt's family, my family, and Kimberly outside enjoying the nice weather and playing in the front yard
All of a sudden, everyone scattered! The sprinklers were going off!!!!
Poor Max got wet and was so upset
We talked the kids into taking off their shirts and running in the sprinklers. Max wouldn't really do it and would only run on the dry sidewalk.
Sleeping baby
The Kenyons got to our house pretty late so they had to wait until morning to play with Emmalyn...
Here's Kenna holding the baby
Aunt Kimi and her favorite niece. :)
After we all got up and ready, we went to the city's athletic center to enjoy the outdoor pool
Video - Maxwell did a great job showing off the skills he's learned in swimming lessons
I pretty much stayed with the baby who stayed in her car seat most of the time. No swimming yet!
Natalie, Emmalyn, Michelle, and Kimberly
Daddy showing Max how to hold a "bubble" in his mouth. Max still isn't good at this and opens his mouth under the water each time.
The whole group
Back home...a typical afternoon of playing on our phones
Kenna and Hayden had a fun time playing together
Wiped out from the first swimming trip of the summer
More victims falling to the sleeping bug
That night we went to a baseball game with Michelle and her family
Go Rough Riders!
Video - Max singing happy birthday to Momma
Tired Maxwell meant lots of good cuddles
We brought some healthy snacks but he also enjoy a hot dog, some popcorn, and cotton candy
Natalie and Richard
Kenna and Michelle - who held Emmalyn most of the time. It was great to have a break!
Family pic
A few sleeping kids. Max, of course, didn't sleep but hung in there the whole time. He had a great time cheering with the crowd. He yelled "charge" a lot. :)
My birthday was a great day!!!!
