Second week of March 2017 - Vacation to Utah

We are excited to go to Utah and play in the snow!

On the plane with mom

Maxwell wrote this sweet note for me on the white board at Aunt Tammy's house

Lunch with Aunt AJa

A visit to Grandpa and Grandma Blank's house (including playing with the toys of course!)  Grandpa is always up for playing.

Doing a little piano

We drove up into the mountains to see some snow.  We weren't fully geared up for it but we still got out of the car and threw a couple snowballs at each other.

Emmalyn loves Aunt Tammy's furry dog "Koopa"

A visit to Grandma Nelson

My kids and our new found cousins (I learned my Uncle Terry had a son none of us ever knew about and this was my first time meeting him and his family, including his kids)

Ryan Sanchez and Uncle Terry

Emmalyn loves Maryn so much

We took Tammy and Nathan out for a special dinner - Korean BBQ.  It was yummy.  We had some important conversations to have around our future and our kids.  So nervous!

We met up with the Millar side of the family at a park.  The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins. ---- Lola and Emmalyn

No trip to Utah is complete without a visit to the Old Spaghetti Factory!

Ahhhhh those gorgeous mountains!

All bundled up and ready to hit the slopes for the first time ever at the Nordic Valley Ski Resort!

Group lessons for the kids

Group lessons for mom and dad

Maxwell and Emmalyn were the only kids in their class

It was hard to stay focused on my lesson because I wanted to keep watching Emmalyn and Maxwell.

Riding the belt up on the bunny slope.  Makes me so nervous getting onto it!

Eeek - - riding the chair lift!

I had a lot of fun and felt like I was getting the hang of it.  Poor Peter didn't catch on as quickly and spent more time on his rear end than I did.

Break for lunch

After lunch we were able to ski together

Hot chocolate!

Whoops!  She's not far from the ground so when she falls it's not usually a big deal.  It's more of an issue getting her back up.

It's the end of ski season so the snow was more slushy than normal.

On our way back out of the canyon we stopped to look at a waterfall
