Maxwell had a field trip to Safety Town but I was on a work trip and had to miss it.  One of the mom's took pictures for me. He had to go with another class because he wasn't able to go on the day his class went (I can't remember why...I think he was sick?)

And since I was traveling, Mrs. Cynthia was nice enough to take a pic of Emmalyn at school and send it to me.  I sure appreciate all the support out there for our family that helps me it easier for me to be a working mom!

I had a Kraft meeting and then went to the Network of Executive Women's Leadership Summit.  Here I am with the other ladies from CROSSMARK.

The Conference was in DC and since this was my first time there, I took some time to go to Arlington National Cemetery with a couple work friends and then explored more the rest of the day on my own.  I found it really empowering to just site see by myself and do whatever interested me!

Maxwell's First Kinder Field Trip - Pumpkin Patch

I was able to go with Maxwell's class on their first field trip.  All Kindergarten classes went to a pumpkin patch.

Maxwell's class all wore PINK kinder shirts.  At first I though his teacher was nuts picking this color but it was really great because they were easy to spot!

There were animals for the kids to feed.  Maxwell was not excited about the smell and was also really hesitant to feed the animals.

Maxwell was really excited about his lunch (which didn't come in his decorated bag that we were told to make - - - grrrrr) because I let him have "school" lunch which included a sandwich, pudding, and chocolate milk.  I also brought a lunch that I ate with them.

All the kids lined up to go back on the bus.  

It was a lot of fun to experience this with Maxwell and see his class!  He doesn't seem to have any really close friends yet at school and spends most of his recess time with Landen.
