We got out a few times one weekend in February. The first thing we did was make a trip to Costco. I've been doing that nearly every weekend with Brittany. I've enjoyed getting out of the house and I really like their selection of organic and natural foods.
Max missing all the fun. (This is rare that he sleeps while we are out.)
Later that night we went downtown to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate my friend Chad's birthday and his friend Jason's birthday. I got to show off Max to a few friends from work. It was one of the few REALLY cold days so I was grateful the restaurant had a valet so we could drop the car off and jet inside.
My foot doctor had just given me permission to take off my boot when I was outside the house. This Saturday was the first time I had left the house in tennis shoes on both feet. It was very weird and I was REALLY tentative and cautious. It was like I had been set free from prison!
The birthday man
Max all bundled up against the cold. I love this soft, sweet outfit. I don't know that to call this piece of outerwear but it's soft, fluffy, had a hood, mitten hands, and a sack like bottom. I wish I would have taken a picture just of it but it was so cold outside we also had Max wrapped in a blanket. While I appreciate the mild winters in Dallas, it's a bummer we didn't get to use cute warm clothes like this more often.
On Sunday Peter and I went on a date to Studio Movie Grill for lunch and watched the movie "The Vow" to celebrate Valentines Day. Studio Movie Grill is the best place to go watch a movie because it's a combination of a restaurant and a movie theatre. You sit in the big comfy office chairs with a table in front of you and servers bring you the food and drinks you order. It's a nice change from normal movies where you shove popcorn and candy in your mouth. I can be healthy and order fruit/salad if I want or I can order pizza or a burger. Plus, their food is good!
We were 2 days early but it wouldn't really work to go on a date during the week. I love spending time with my husband, I just wish I could always have Max with us. I feel like I miss so much time with him during the week that I hate to take more time away from him on the weekend.
Max tidbit - this weekend he started really pushing off with his legs when standing up. He loves bouncing up and down all the time now.
