Max and his Daddy

Max and his Daddy are buddies.  Max adores Peter and lights up for him like no one else.  He always has lots of smiles to give to Dad and he'll sit playing on Peter's lap for a long time.  He likes to do whatever Dad is doing whether it's play on Daddy's laptop or look at Daddy's phone.  Sometimes in the middle of the night when I'm nursing Max, he'll lift his head up and look at Peter next to me and smile SO BIG as if he's waiting for Dad to wake up and start playing with him.

I'm not jealous of their relationship, I think it's incredibly sweet.  When Max was less than 2 months old it used to hurt my feelings that Max seemed to be happier with Peter but I got over that pretty quickly.  Now, I feel like it's balanced.  Max's relationship with Peter is different than mine.  There are times he reaches for me and there are times that he reaches for Peter.  I have no doubt that he loves me just like I know he loves Peter.  There are moments that belong to just Max and I that Peter doesn't get to be a part of and I see those moments happen for Peter and Max as well.

However, all that being said.  I will not be surprised if Max's first word is Daddy.  :)

Video - Max trying to eat Peter's leg but really it's just Max putting on a show for us.  He likes being the center of attention and can milk it.
Remember when I said Max wants to do what Daddy does?  We bought this laptop toy for Landen on his birthday but Max really likes to play with it when he's over at Brittany's.  Here he is looking at the "screen" with his hand on the mouse just like his dad.  (This picture was NOT posed.  That's all him.)

Get that sock off so I can get to my toes!
