A is for Apple, B is for Bare, C is for (snow) Cone, D is for Doorbell

July is at an end.  In this post you will get to enjoy some bare baby pictures, see an apple get eaten, watch Max have his first taste of a snow cone, and get to see our new doorbell.  Have at it!

Max reading with his dad

I wanted to get some naked pics on the changing table to compare how big he's gotten since I have taken some before.

Big enough to reach for the light switch

Max on July 29

Max nearly 9 months earlier.  He's so little!

Big enough to stand up and want to play.

I made beets for the first time in my life.  I made a puree of roasted golden beets and apricots.  (Not one of my favorites.)

We let Max try and eat an apple.

He did a good job and certainly ate a little bit of it.

Love those lashes

It takes a big open mouth to take a bite of an apple.   :)

We went on another visit to the house.
Shower door is on in the guest bathroom.

Woo hoo!  Finally we have cabinets in our media room! Now all we need is a counter top!

The view out our front door.  You can see all the houses that are now starting to go up in the neighborhood.

Looking to the right (southwest) there is a house going up there too.

We have a doorbell!

They laid the decorative pavers in the driveway.

On the way home, since it was such a hot day, I talked Peter into stopping and letting me get a snow cone.  Although, here in Texas they don't serve snow cones.  It's shaved ice in a cup (with cream if you'd like but I haven't ever tried it with cream).  BIG CUPS of course, we ARE in Texas.

Hi!

MMMM...what is this?!

More waving.  I think the sugar is starting to hit him.

Sticky, stained lips.  Max loved the snowcone, as I expected.  I tried not to shovel it in as quickly as he would have liked me to.  I don't want to be the one to introduce him to what a brain freeze feels like.

It's not in the title but the last portion of this blog should be titled "E is for EW!"   Max hit the bowl of baby food I was holding, just at the right time and caused it to spill on the floor.  grrrrrrr

On the carpet!

And he's to the stage that he's throwing things on the floor - like the sippy cup I caught mid flight in this picture. grrrr

Video - Max has started growling.  It's the cutest thing.  I don't know how he learned to do it but it's his common way to communicate now.

He is doing better at standing every day.  If he's got something in his hands he can stand for a long time and usually doesn't even notice that he's doing it.  But, if his hands are empty he's not as stable and goes down quickly.

He's getting to be such a big boy!
