I can't believe it's already August. That means Max's b-day is coming closer and closer. I am stressing about what exactly to do for Max's b-day and how elaborate I should be. (I've heard many stories of people here in Dallas throwing MAJOR 1st b-day parties with bounce houses and themes and big price tags. I know I won't compete with that. Plus we don't have lots of people we know to invite to a big party like that.) We will be closing on the new house 5 days after Max turns 1. So I don't want to do anything big before we move because I know we'll be busy packing/getting ready. But then if we do something after we move, then it will be in a house that isn't all put together.... We'll see what happens.

Maxwell is such a happy kid. I love that big toothy smile with his dimple!
Sleeping with that bum up in the air and his arms tucked in. I've tried it, it's not very comfortable.

He still crosses his feet all the time. (car seat, high chair, when sitting, etc)
He has started really grabbing onto things, like a toy, tightly and won't let go. He is becoming more passionate and really having things he wants and doesn't want.
