Happy Halloween 2014

It's fun to have two kids to celebrate holidays with!!  (even if one of them doesn't care yet)

Such happiness is in this little girl's spirit

Our little kitty cat and pirate all dressed up and ready to go!

The costume overwhelmed her for sure.  She could barely move in it.

It was chilly outside so we bundled up to go to the neighborhood party.

The road was blocked off so all the kids were able to play in the street while the adults visited.

All the kids (cept ours - we were walking down the street when the pic was taken)

Max was a pro this year.  The only bummer was that it seemed everyone was either at the neighborhood party or out trick-or-treating with their kids so it meant that nearly every house was like this - with the candy set out in a bowl.  The good news was that things went much quicker when you didn't have to wait for someone to answer their door.

It was funny because when someone did answer their door, he'd have a story to tell them. The very first door that someone opened, he told them that "Miss Cynthia (his preschool teacher) says no open candy".   :)  Another thing he'd say often is "I got a flu shot in my leg."

I felt bad about having him get his flu shot on Halloween because his leg was hurting him and as a result we did one full street and then headed home.  I should have thought about that, but didn't.

You might notice the lights in the trees - - we have a lot of Indian neighbors and they were celebrating Diwali, which is a festival of lights.  So around Halloween, we have a lot of Christmas lights up in our neighborhood.  Max was too funny and anytime he would see the lights he would say "those are not Christmas lights, they are Diwali lights"

She was happy to just fall asleep

Max was a great helper at home with handing out candy to the few that came to our door after we got home.

Max's stash (which of course I organized)!  Kit Kats won this year for most common candy.
