End of August 2016, Peter's Birthday

Hello, 2 year old tantrum

I took Maxwell shopping for his dad's present.  He picked out the balloon and the presents.

Reading the card Maxwell made for him

The kids were very excited to show dad his presents.

A snackeez cups and some balls to throw.

During a playdate with the boys her age in the neighborhood, our neighbor took a couple gorgeous pics of Emmalyn.

Riding her scooter.

Chasing bubbles

I just love those curls

Kinsey and Emmalyn

Emmalyn, Hudson, and Kinsey

Cuddling in the movie room

I had Maxwell do Thank You cards for each of the presents he got for his birthday.

The fabric on the roof of Peter's car was coming unglued so he stripped it off is going to glue new fabric on.  It is a big undertaking!

Date night to another musical - A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder!  We loved it!  I hadn't heard about it but it was fantastic and very funny.

The pretty bracelet Peter bought me for Maxwell's first day of school

Both wearing our flag shirts - we are twins!

Oh my goodness - - - I was clipping Emmalyn's nails and I accidentally cut her skin and she bled.  I've NEVER done this to either of my kids.  EVER! I've always been so careful (and 99.9% I'm the only one to cut their nails).  I felt so awful.  :(

Maxwell and his stuffed animals.  He loves having all of them on his bed and especially loves how Katy, the house cleaner, arranges them on his bed when she comes.

Peter turns 35

At the end of August we celebrated Peter's birthday with Brittany and her family.
Britt and Joe washed all the cars - they did a great job and had a talented little helper

Peter was being a snot and video'd all of us singing happy birthday to him

Maxwell helped Daddy blow out his candles

Ooh - - How exciting.  A new grill cover!

These cute boys had fun playing under the cover with Peter.

Emmalyn played with Uncle Joe

Everyone had fun playing Max's new game on the Xbox - - Dance Central Spotlight

How cute is this outfit?

Big girl playing on her slide

I captured her "o" face!

I tried to get a good picture of the two of them

But then the tongues came out

They aren't look at me but I sure love how they are looking at each other.  :)

I took the kiddos to the park to enjoy a nice day

Strong muscles! - this is one of my favorite pictures I've taken of Maxwell recently

We made Watermelon Lemonade for a fun summer refreshing drink!

Peter breaks out of jail!

Well, Peter sort of broke out of jail.  Okay, not really.  But he did participate in an obstacle race called Jail Break.  It's not really a race because it isn't timed but it's a 5k with a bunch of obstacles.  (Think the much easier version of Tough Mudder but rougher than a 5k.)

Joe, Britt, and Peter all did it together

Waiting to "break free"
They ran it with a bunch of our neighbors - Chris, Jake, Melissa and Clint

Peter talking to Max when he was at the start line

I had all the kids with me and walked around with Mary Ann, who was nursing an injured foot, while we tried to capture pics of them doing the obstacles.  She got some - I just haven't saved them on my computer so that I could upload them.  Sorry, you miss out.

It was hot, there was no shade when the sun came out from behind the clouds, and I stunk at keeping the kids entertained while we waited for everyone to finish.  Good times! :)

Video - Maxwell enjoying the music they played and having fun counting down the runners.

Emmalyn in our stroller for the very first time.  Such a big girl.  She was a happy camper for quite a while.

Maxwell wanted to take a picture of us.  Good job, bud!

I adore that tongue and those sweet crossed feet

My crew.  I was not fully prepared.  I ended up putting a shirt on the ground and sitting on it.

Part of the group (including the Ray's son and his friends)

These boys got DIRTY by choice.  The last obstacle was in the water and it was cleaning everyone off so these dorks rolled around in the mud so that they'd be dirty before they ran for the finish line.

Good job Peter!

Maxwell didn't want to touch daddy and get dirty

Here comes Brittany.  I am so proud of her!  She did the whole thing!  There's no way I could have done it in the shape I am currently in.

Goofballs

Cheers

We went to Costa Vida for lunch afterwards

My son hasn't met a pair of sunglasses he didn't love
