Easter 2015

Easter is here! 4/5/2015

We colored eggs the day before with Britt and the boys

Maxwell did a great job doing it all by himself

The results of doing it all by himself.  :)

Look!  The Easter Bunny came to our house!

The kids while waiting to go see if the Easter Bunny came - They were holding hands!

2 cute, happy kiddos

Video - Here are the kids reactions to finding their Easter Baskets.  (Maxwell came out of the bedroom ready to take pictures of the eggs the bunny kid with his iPAD)

She loved her lamb and even gave him kisses

Happy kid.  (The hot wheels thing opens up and holds hot wheels cars and also makes noises)

Tweaking the bike so Maxwell can ride it

Walking around finding eggs (with a whistle in his mouth)

"Hm...How am I going to get the egg stuck in the net?"

Ah-hah!

He did awesome this year with finding the eggs

A big super-sized sucker for the special occasion rather than the normal tiny dum-dum

Mr. Cool

Peter made a special breakfast with eggs, bacon, and potatoes and I made some muffins.

Happy Easter!

I had to lay next to her to get her to sleep - it was a whole ordeal so I was THRILLED when she fell asleep.  She wants to make sure she's touching you if she's sleeping next to you.

Sweet baby with her drool "bib"

We made a few variations of deviled eggs.  (My mom would have loved that.  She always made deviled eggs for Peter because she knew he liked them.)

Our great neighbors, Chris and Mary Ann, had an Easter Egg hunt for Maxwell again this year, this time inside their house since it was gloomy outside.

Counting the eggs to make sure he found all of them

Video - They gave Maxwell a bubble blower and let him use it inside the house!

Our Easter dinner.

Maxwell loved riding his bike.  First he rode it inside the house, the inside the garage, and then finally outside.  He was so happy that when he was riding it outside, he was making happy noises the whole time.  So glad the Easter Bunny brought him his first big kids bike!

The McReynolds invited us over to smash Easter Eggs with them.  I had no idea what that meant but it ended up being really fun.  They had Easter Eggs that were the shell that had been emptied out and filled with confetti.  We had a great time smashing the eggs on each other's heads...on shoulders...on the ground.  It was awesome!!  They were so kind to invite us over and it was a nice break from being stuck inside the house on a gloomy day.

On the way home, Maxwell saw a real bunny outside.  It was cute how he reacted.  He kept saying "hello"...then when he didn't get a response, he goes, "why doesn't he look at me?"  The bunny ran away when Maxwell walked up to him and he came back to me disappointed and goes, "But,  I need to pet him!"
