The end of March...
We enjoyed a visit from our favorite "Casa Millar" guests -- Tida and Jason. We always have a fantastic time with them and our kids adore them too.
It took awhile to start playing games...I think we all got distracted. :)

That afternoon, we drove out to look at some tulip fields. Everyone knocked out on the way out there... We ended up waking up Maxwell once Emmalyn woke up. That was a BAD decision because he was Mr. Grumpy pretty much the whole time we were there.
Some of the tulips were in full bloom and some had just passed their prime. There were so many varieties. I had no idea!

Rubbing his eyes and crying
These were my favorite tulips that we saw (we didn't get to see all of them because we got tired of dealing with Max's bad mood and decided to just leave)
My favorite
This is the best picture we got of both of them. UGH
We had to bribe him in order to get him to let us take his picture. Next time I need to remember to make smiling a part of the bribe.
She knew something was wrong with Max and tried to reach out to him, which of course just upset him more. Sheesh.
We bribed him with a sucker .
The drive home was absolutely gorgeous. My phone didn't pick it up but these fields were the prettiest shade of green!
Video - Maxwell is a rockstar with his sister as his backup dancer.
her big cheesy smile

At the park with Brittany
No more air guitar, now he can rock his real guitar
We had another trip to the dentist. I hoped this would go as well as last time.
All smiles!
He didn't do quite as well as last time. He was more nervous once they started working in his mouth and kept swallowing the stuff so we weren't able to do the fluoride treatment like last time. Hopefully next time he will be good. One thing Maxwell is great at - - - he really looks forward to going to the doctor or the dentist. I can't think of a time where he's been nervous or scared - even when he knows he's getting a shot or something.
Before I took him to school, we stopped for lunch at Chik-fil-a... and finished lunch off with a treat. It was fun to go on a lunch date with him.
I've hated how dark the front of my house is even when my porch light is on... But I also always forget to turn my porch light on so my house is even darker outside. I am going to add some landscape lighting so here's a diagram that I had to submit to the HOA of where I am going to place the lights (where the white squares are).
I'm excited!!!
