On August 23rd, two days before we closed, we had our final, final walk through. I handled it on my own since Peter wasn't able to get off work and get there in time. I can't believe we are seriously this close to owning a house! I am feeling some stress about whether this is a good choice or not. Of course I want Max to have a backyard to play in, and I would love to have more space...but is this TOO MUCH space? We have budgeted for everything but what is it really going to be like once we have to pay for things that we haven't before (lawn care, pest control, etc.)??? Our house is supposed to be super energy efficient (it gets the energy star rating) but we've heard about people having 600.00 electric bills in the peak of summer! Plus, it feels really adult to own a house. And I don't feel like I'm adult enough to own a house - isn't that silly? I've been with Peter 17 years, I have a child, I manage a field force of nearly 2,000 people, I have traveled alone all over the country, etc and I still feel that I'm not old enough/adult enough to own a house! (silver lining - that means I am still young at heart??)

Silly boy - hats aren't for eating!
Here are the pictures from the final walk through!

(Although later we figured out they screwed up and ordered the wrong width and then had to come back and install all new blinds.)

Oh! It's such a nice house! I love the kitchen cabinets and pretty wood floors. How lovely that it is brand new and you don't have to live in anyone else's funk. Good luck moving in!
