Cousins come to town - let's go to the park!

We were lucky enough to get to spend some time with the Amos family before school started.  Tyler and Kaitlyn got here a few days before Kimberly did (they had been in OK with their dad).  I think Brittany's amazing for taking care of 5 kids at the same time!  They all had a lot of fun with their cousins.

Kaitlyn immediately started playing with Max and reading books to him.

Max took quickly to Kaitlyn (probably because he realized that resistance was futile...)

They were both so sweet to Max and excited to see him.

Video - Max still won't clap for real.  I thought we were getting close there for awhile but it just hasn't happened, even with all the pat-a-cake we play.  He isn't even opening up his hands when we help him clap.

It only seemed natural after that to take everyone to the park that evening after I got off work.  (Later, Peter met us there too.)

We put Max on the grass and he did NOT like it.  He tried to keep as much of himself as possible from touching the grass.  You can see how he doesn't want to put his other foot down.

Crawling is tricky if you don't want to touch the grass.

Eventually he got over it and took off

Peter let him stand in the bark.  He didn't like that either.
