I finally captured Max's scooting on video the day after he turned 7 months. He's not the fastest but he gets there eventually.
Some of things I want to remember about this initial stage:
- His arm frequently gets stuck under him and he can't get it unstuck. So he either gets super frustrated or he just rolls over.
- Here's the process: a lot of push forward, roll on to his back, roll back to his belly, push forward, roll on to his back, roll on to his belly, push forward... you see the pattern
- Frequently the push forward is done with the toes on his right foot and he puts his left leg in the air
- He is great at getting his feet under him and his bum in the air.
The toes that work so hard to move him forward
Those pretty eyes (we still don't know what to call the color) with the blue outside rim, and the insides are a mix of gray, brown, and green. (I am hoping that by the time he has to put his eye color on his drivers license that we know what color they are or at least what to call them.)
Playing with those toes
On the go
Cute toes
Look! Momma is letting me play naked!
He was totally posing
He's so big! I love this picture because he's sitting up so big and tall that you can see his sweet neck!
Dang, my arm is stuck again!
Here are some crazy cute pictures that I took of Maxwell today at lunch. I love his expressions - I know that I may be biased but come on, you've got to agree, this is ONE CUTE KIDDO!!!!
