Guest Room - Occupied!

My Aunt Sue and Cousin Melissa were in town for a friend's baptism (which ended up being at the church that I believe is our ward building...it's the building closest to us and is only a few minutes away but since we haven't been to church I'm not positive that it's our ward building).

I was excited to have them in town but was also excited because we now have a guest bedroom (with their own bathroom) in the new house that they could use!  It brings me a lot of joy to know that we have an inviting space for visitors now and hopefully that will entice more people to come to town!  So they were our first visitors to break in the guest bedroom.

It was so nice to have them in town for a little bit.  We really enjoyed visiting with them.  Mostly we just hung out and chatted/caught up.  We also tried a new restaurant in the area called Woodfire Grill.  It was yummy.

1st try - dang, Max doesn't look cute.

2nd try - now Max is cute but I'm not looking.  Oh well.

Poor Melissa was constantly cold.  Her wimpy Houston bones weren't ready for the "cold" Dallas weather.  To be fair, it was chillier than it's been.

I love family visits.  They never seem to last long enough and the house is always too quiet when they leave.  I never imagined I'd be raising a family so far away from most of my family.  Thank goodness Brittany lives here!

Max now knows what sound a cow makes.  His moooooo is quite cute.  You will get to hear it eventually.  He gives kisses and hugs to stuffed animals.  His favorite toy lately is his Little People Airplane:

He likes to put people in and out of the airplane but only through the door.  I don't know where he picked that up from because we didn't show him that.  He likes to push the airplane around on the ground.
